In our blog entry on Day 80 we visited London Bridge in Lake Havasu City and we were interested to learn a little of the history about how and why the bridge ended up in a desert in Arizona.
I noticed an article today on the BBC website going into a lot more detail about the man who bought the bridge, how it was shipped and rebuilt, the impact it had on the city and how he overcame challenges to turn this site into the 3rd most popular attraction in Arizona (behind the Grand Canyon and Glen Canyon). I found it a really interesting read. The article can be found here if you're interested in reading it too.
An interesting read although the link seems to take you back to the blog entry rather than the BBC article which can be found here; The American who bought London Bridge - https://bbc.in/2pmWGlI
